The new year!

New Years Eve... We had a pretty good time celebrating the New Year with a few exceptions. Darren and I were able to go see a movie without the kids that has not happened in quite a while. We then spent the first part of New Year's Eve with Darren's family and then were able to leave the kids with his parents and go to another party with some friends. We had a great time with our friends! It brought back memories on how new years was before kids! It was short lived. Ryder had been running a little bit of a fever throughout the day. I thought it was due to teething but, when we got back to Darren parents to pick up the kids, Ryder's temp had risen to 103.5. We decided to hurry home and get him in his own bed. We made it home just in time to ring in the New Year! We then retook Ryder's temp. It had shot up to 104.5 so we spent the next hour trying to bring it down and trying to decide if we needed to make a trip the ER. Luckily we were able to get it down to 101.5 so we decided to wait and try to get him in first thing in the morning. We were able to get him into the doctors and poor little Ryder has RSV. So far he is doing pretty good and hopefully he can get over it soon! We like to spend are holidays in the doctor's office. Two years ago I pretty much spent Christmas to the New Year in the hospital. Last year, Azelynn made two different trips to the after hours clinic. I remember taking her in on New Year's Eve and then dropping her off at home and then taking myself to the doctors. So adding Azelynn's trip to the after hours clinic on Christmas Eve this year, we are proving to really enjoy spreading the holiday cheer to our doctors!
