We were invited to come and stay and my sister in-laws family beach house in California and a course we accepted. We made the 14 hour drive to Monterey (that is without stopping so with three kids we were in the car for a long long time). We broke it up in two days and surprisingly the kids did great! I was surprised on how cold it was when we got there, when we pulled up to the beach house the temp was reading 55 degrees brrr! It was a little disappointing that we did not really see the sun the whole time we were there. I think the top temp that we got to was maybe 62 degrees but with misty and and cloudy sky's that 62 was a little cold. Darren loved the change but you all know I was wishing the sun would make an appearance. Besides the cooler temperatures we had a lot of fun!
We decided to take a steam engine through the redwoods it was fun to ride through all the super tall trees and the kids loved it!
